PRODUCT PARAMETERS
Pultruded carbon fiber tubes are manufactured through a continuous process called pultrusion, in which carbon fiber tows are pulled through a heated die impregnated with resin. This process produces tubes with fibers aligned in a single direction, resulting in exceptional strength and stiffness along the length of the tube. Pultruded carbon fiber tubes are high-performance composite tubes made using the pultrusion process, where continuous carbon fiber strands are pulled through a resin bath and a heated die to form a solid, uniform structure. This method ensures consistent quality, precise dimensions, and outstanding mechanical performance. Unlike roll-wrapped carbon fiber tubes, which have fibers laid at multiple angles, pultruded tubes feature unidirectional fiber alignment (mostly 0° along the tube length). This design gives them superior longitudinal strength and stiffness, making them ideal for load-bearing or structural applications that demand minimal flex. LIJIN carbon fiber is a professional manufacturer and supplier of carbon fiber pultruded tubing. We offer the premium-quality pultruded carbon fiber tubes in various sizes and lengths. Pultruded carbon tubes are made from 100% real carbon fiber and vinyl ester or epoxy resins. High-performance pultruded carbon fiber tubes featuring 100% longitudinal fiber alignment and 134 GPa tensile modulus. These lightweight structural components deliver exceptional axial stiffness with 65-70% fiber volume fraction, making them ideal for aerospace, robotics, and precision automation applications. All our Pultruded carbon fiber tubes are made using 3K carbon fiber and epoxy/vinyl-ester resin. Standard lengths are 1, 1.2 & 1.5 meters, but are not limited to these. Even though there’s no maximum limit on length, we don’t suggest longer than 3 meters due to transportation limitations. FEATURES High Axial Strength – Due to unidirectional fiber orientation, ideal for applications requiring high tensile strength and rigidity. Lightweight – Offers excellent strength-to-weight ratio, reducing overall structure weight. Corrosion Resistant – Immune to rust, moisture, and most chemicals, ensuring long service life. Dimensional Stability – Maintains shape and performance under temperature and load variations. Cost-Effective – Pultrusion enables efficient, continuous production for consistent quality and lower costs. Advantages Exceptional Tensile Strength – The unidirectional carbon fibers provide very high strength along the tube’s axis, outperforming metals like aluminum and steel in strength-to-weight ratio. Ultra-Lightweight – Carbon fiber is about five times lighter than steel while maintaining excellent rigidity, making it perfect for lightweight structures. Corrosion & Chemical Resistance – Resistant to moisture, acids, and most chemicals, ensuring longevity in harsh environments. Thermal Stability – Low thermal expansion and good heat resistance allow the tube to retain shape and performance in varying temperatures. Smooth Finish & Consistent Quality – Pultrusion delivers a clean surface and accurate dimensions, suitable for precise engineering applications. Electrical Non-Conductivity (Optional) – Depending on the resin system used, pultruded tubes can be tailored for electrical insulation purposes. Pultrusion Process Pultruded products are made by pulling continuous carbon fibers combined with a resin matrix through a shaped die to create the required profile. The dimension of the pultrusion die determines the shape and size of the finished profile, such as round, square, rectangular, triangle, octagon, etc, and hollow tubes, solid rods, L profile, U-shape, custom parts. Pultruded round carbon fibre tubes are created by pulling linearly-oriented carbon fibers through a resin bath and the die to form the specified inner and outer diameters ofthe pultruded hollow tube. The pultrusion process is usually used for producing continuous lengths of fiberglass or carbon fiber composite products with constant cross-sections. |
